National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) elects
president. He is Tijani Usman, a student of the Ahmadu Bello University
(ABU) in Zaria, Kaduna State.
Usman garnered 163 of the 239 votes cast during the NANS convention
held in Delta State to defeat his closest opponent, Jubril Ahmadu, also a
student of ABU, who scored 56 votes.
Usman will take over from the outgoing president, Yinka Gbadebo.
